A family to grow in

Home                Newsletter

Welcome to our Services!

This weekend is a poignant one for us All Sainters, as we say an official farewell to Andrew as our vicar. Andrew came to us as a learned but somewhat “green” young fellow more than eight years ago, with Ruby a toddler and George only just born. The family has grown up around us, Henry has joined the team, and we’ve embraced them into parish life.

Andrew has shared with us, among other things, his amazing knowledge, his steadfast adherence to biblical truth, and his ability to present complicated ideas in an understandable way. He’s been the motivating force behind many new ministry initiatives. Oh yes, and that wonderful voice …!

So this is an opportunity for us to show our appreciation for Andrew, Rebecca and the children, and to give them a good send-off. Of course it is anticipated that the family will remain part of parish life, and Andrew will be working just across the drive, so no doubt we’ll see plenty of him.

At both of the Sunday morning services, part of the time is given over to the official farewell. If you are a regular at Friday night Xpressions, why not come along to one of the Sunday services as well? There will be some candid opinions expressed, some general hilarity, the presentation of a gift, and we’ll pray for Andrew and his family as they go into the next phase of things. There will be lunch to follow the 10.30 service, so please hang around.

Make sure you take the time to give Andrew a good send-off! There will be official stuff at the front, but get alongside him at the lunch and tell him how much he’s meant to you!

God bless,
Jackie
